As enterprises continue to build maturity in their data capabilities, organisations face challenges concerning how to structure operations, allocate resources, and deliver value from data investments.
This report, based on survey responses from 154 data and analytics professionals across Australia and Singapore, examines how organisations currently deliver data products, where inefficiencies accumulate, and what priorities are shaping investment decisions across different delivery models.
Key findings include:
● 97% of respondents deliver data products, yet only 25% do so through a structured program
● For most ad-hoc and hybrid operators, one-off non-reusable work consumes between a quarter and half of all team capacity
● 44% of respondents have active AI or GenAI work underway that depends on foundational data preparation
