Chris Schenk is a data scientist, strategist and change agent who, over his 15-year career, has consistently applied analytics to deliver new strategic and operational capabilities for organizations spanning sectors and industries. He currently leads the Pricing, Strategy and Analytics team at Hiscox, USA. Joining as analyst in 2013, Chris created and implemented the company’s first automated underwriting model then went on to lead an initiative to transform and modernize the company’s pricing infrastructure and build pricing capabilities that are better suited to their ambitions for growth and market position.
Chris created the company’s unique pricing framework – introducing methodologies that blend traditional pricing approaches with advanced techniques in analytics and incorporating design thinking principles into the process. He now leads the team that was created to accelerate delivery of those technical and strategic capabilities and innovate to ensure Hiscox operates as smoothly, systematically and sustainably as possible in the face of changing markets, technologies and competition.
