David has over 16 years experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence and Software Engineering as well as 4 Years experience in building Big Data ecosystems and is currently the Manager – Analytics and Data Strategy for Vodafone New Zealand within the Consumer department leading a team of six analytics professionals.
David is a highly experienced commercially focused technology executive with a background in Big Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence. He has worked across a number of different industries, such as Healthcare, FMCG, Utilities, Media, Advertising and Telecommunication, delivering emergent technologies, riding the wave as they became standard business practices. One of his greatest joys is delivering outcome-focused technology solutions that generate true business value.
Throughout his career David has worked in a variety of roles including as programmer, sales executive, project manager, senior leader, contractor, architect, analyst and consultant. As a result, he has a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projects and enjoy tackling complex challenges.
David plays an active role as a speaker, writer and leader in the growing use of data and technology in our day to day lives and has a wealth of experience implementing technology solutions, capturing information from smart sensors and utilising wearable technology to provide rich insights in both the home and business.
