ICT Head: Shared Services, Development Bank of South Africa
Denisha is currently the ICT Head: Shared Services at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. She plays a pivotal role at the Development Bank which is affiliated to the National Treasury and lead by the Minister of Finance, to deliver Infrastructure in South Africa. She has held several Vice Presidents roles in Absa Bank, Barclays London and at the South African Revenue Services. She started off at the SARS Business Intelligence Centre, was promoted to the SARS audit centres as a senior auditor in the SARS Large Business Centre. She designed, developed and implemented SARS’s very first Governance, Risk and Compliance unit for the CFO of SARS, making SARS cutting edge in the public sector at current. She has had the great privilege to work with the CFO of SARS from a risk perspective during the implementation of SARS E-Filing System.It was during her SARS E-filing System implementation whereby she pursued her MBA in technology management in which she achieved a first class pass. Her primary degree is a BCOMPT Accounting Sciences Honours at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Denisha has also achieved the youngest Doctorate in Leadership qualification in the history of the University. She is therefore a leader in her field, and has become impactful beyond the boundaries of just her work. The hall-mark of Denisha is her ability to drive change and innovation strategically; and being a consistent over-achiever in all that she does. She has achieved several accolades throughout in her career in every job she has been in, which has left sustainable benefits both long and short term, in the divisions. In her tenure at Barclays London and Absa, she headed many Vice President’s posts such as Head of Business Intelligence for Africa, Head of Analytics for the Africa for 15 African COO’s, Head of Banking Fraud Analytics & Specialized Services for Africa for 15 African countries.
