Guido Beier

Senior Manager Digital & Innovation, Deutsche Telekom

Guido was a steelworker and cook till the collapse of the iron curtain. Since 25 years he is engaged in the field of Customer Experience. He started his career as an Economic Psychologist at Daimlers R&D department.

After teaching applied Psychology at Universities in Berlin and Leipzig Guido joined the Design Department of Deutsche Telekom.

During his work as responsible for customer research, Telekom Design won 162 prizes e.g. Good Design Award Chicago, Good Design Award Japan, IF Product Design, IF Communication Design, German Design Award, International Design Award Los Angeles.

Since October 2017 Guido works in the HR Digital & Innovation team of Deutsche Telekom and drives the employee experience of DT in the digital age.

Guido published about Experience and Basic Human Needs first time in 2009. He developed the ‘Basic Human Needs System’ as a key to understand the needs which drive human experience.

 In 2016 Guido founded de3p – a company to apply and distribute the Basic Human Needs System.
