István has led InfomatiX’s Business intelligence initiatives since 2005. Initially these projects involved Microsoft and SAP BO project, however István quickly realized that it is extremely difficult to drive success with the traditional BI toolsets and IT driven approach and started transforming his organization into a Customer Centric – business value driven company that puts user experience as top driver for its analytical projects.
From 2010, IX has been transformed to a self service Analytics company that was closely connected to self-service toolkits of Visual Discovery (TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik) and Data Discovery (Knime, Rapidminer,…) amongst other tools as well. Based on István’s slogan ‘Democratizing BI’ InfomatiX has introduced an array of smart tools and services that could show how BI and analytics can help and support everyday business decisions and enable self-service and faster adoption for any enterprise.
InfomatiX was aquired by one of the Fastest Growing Tech SI-s of the Industry EPAM systems. After a successful transition of his complete Analytics and services team to EPAM Systems in 2016 September, István’s role in EPAM is currently senior director, Enterprise analytics. His mission remains the same, enable enterprise analytics and adoption at any enterprise in any scale and to prepare Enterprises for the new Wave of Embedded Analytics that is to come.
Organizations building big-data & analytics strategy w. István’s teams include: Procter & Gamble, Bayer, Novartis, Coca-Cola, QuintilesIMS, Canadian Tire, Chevron Oil and others. The vision is to leverage the now available data and to transform to Fact-driven in all processes inside an enterprise.
