Jane has extensive business and ICT experience. With a career which commenced in financial management, she has excelled in various Directorships, IT Executive and Strategic consulting roles. She is known for her strategic leadership style and dedication to the execution of strategy as a way of ensuring business success. Jane has proven capability in strategy, business turnaround and commercial business modelling, particularly in this era of disruptive technologies.

Jane was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer of Business Connexion in May 2014, to provide leadership and strategic direction to address the Group’s pressing needs through the implementation of specific projects and activities. Subsequent to the Telkom merger she took the role of Group Executive: EMEA, with responsibility for Group operations outside of South Africa which included chairing multiple subsidiary boards. On joining BCX in 2011 she was Group Executive: UCS Division, responsible for the direction of the UCS businesses and for the group’s financial services strategy.

Following her retirement in September 2016, she remained on the Boards of a number of Business Connexion EMEA Investments and provided Executive Consulting, exclusively, to the new BCX (Telkom Business Connexion) until July 2017.

Jane joined Edcon in January 2018 as Chief Information Officer and, having reset the IT Strategy and commenced its execution, is handing this over to competent colleagues in order to take the lead in July 2018, as Chief Digital Officer, of the ThankU Digital Division. This includes responsibility for the digital transformation of Financial Services, Insurance, Commercial Services, Loyalty and Rewards, Customer Insights and E-Commerce.
