Jesus Rubio is the Director of Data and Digital Content at IATA. Among his responsibilities, he oversees IATA’s Business Intelligence solutions used globally by airlines, airports, and other industry stakeholders as part of their strategic and tactical decision making processes. Jesus also leads the Publishing line of business, which includes industry reference publications such as the renowned Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
For over a decade now, Jesus has been working with airlines from all over the world on improving performance through a holistic approach to the use of market intelligence and operational data in order to overcome the challenges created by the silos commonly found in airline organizational structures.
Prior to joining IATA in Montreal, Jesus worked for the Lufthansa Group and American Express in Spain and the UK respectively. His international experience is also reflected on his academic background after studying in Spain, US, the Netherlands, Germany, UK and Canada.
Jesus holds an MBA in Aviation, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Transport Systems from Cranfield University in the UK
