Chief Research Information Officer, Children's Mercy Hospital
My professional experience has been varied - formal scientific training, work as a software engineer, a fascinating and satisfying career as a Vice President for a major EHR vendor and now serving as Chief Research Information Officer (CRIO) at Children's Mercy. I find great satisfaction in assembling and leading teams of capable individuals to build transformative systems that are widely utilized. My track record includes 20 issued patents, the design and development of software applications that are used globally and leadership of major corporate initiatives. In my current role as the CRIO of the Children's Research Institute I lead our strategy in data science, develop partnerships with strategic vendors and mentor a growing group of investigators using electronic health record data to support their research.
