Senior Director, Data Analytics, Manulife John Hancock
Michal is managing a newly established Data Analytics Program for Manulife John Hancock Internal Audit Services group. In that role she leads the transformation of the internal audit function to becoming a data insight driven organization. She’s responsible for integrating data analytics into the audit function throughout the audit lifecycle in order to conduct more effective and efficient risk assessments of business processes and controls. Her group leverages statistical knowledge, BI, advanced analytics, ML&AI and technology solutions to design, implement, and deliver analytics engagements in support of Internal Audit partners.
Prior to John Hancock, Michal held various analytics and finance positions in a range of financial institutions. Most recently she was with the Asset Allocation group of Wellington Management LLC. In Wellington she developed and managed predictive and prescriptive models as part of the tactical (quant), strategic and risk teams. Prior to that she was with Emory University Endowment, Vertex Venture Capital and Deloitte in Israel.
Michal earned her BBA magna cum laude from The College of Management in Israel and her MBA from Goizueta Business School, Emory University in Georgia. She holds a CFA and CPA (Israel) certifications.
