Muhammed Zubayr(Mz) Omarjee is an Enterprise Security Architect a at Standard Bank Group. Together with 16 years of IT experience he has architected and delivered a diverse portfolio of successful IT projects ranging from innovative mobile and speech banking solutions. He has also been instrumental in key enterprise wide IT initiatives such as re-establishing the enterprise architecture practice, planning roadmaps for replacing legacy mainframe core banking platforms with the SAP Banking Services Platform, and designing a multi-channel architecture that integrates all vertical and horizontal business domains within Standard Bank.
Part of his day to day responsibilities include consulting on emerging technologies such as the Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) Strategy and related Business Process Management concepts. Also, as a senior Solutions Architect , he provides significant mentorship to development teams on Java 2 Enterprise Edition, Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) Security and Pervasive Technologies. As part of an International team, he has written extensively and has contributed, to the global IT community by co-authoring a couple of IBM Technical Redbooks, and a Redpaper on the subject of Pervasive Technologies whilst on a residency program in the USA.
