Nick has built and led digital quantitative and analytics teams from ground up for machine learning, NLP, predictive analytics and Cloud strategy. He has been a speaker at data and analytics conferences – strata data conference, NAFIS, AI conference, Oreilly software architecture conference, GDPR summit.
Also, been a past regular at Kaggle competitions. He has taught big data and marketing analytics as adjunct faculty at Columbia University.
Currently, he is the VP-Machine Learning in the Cloud and Head-Data Science Analytics at Amex. His mission is to build AI services-vision and image, speech, conversational chatbots and custom models on AI platforms using frameworks like Tensorflow, Torch, Theano on cloud infrastructure.
In his past roles, he has led quantitative teams at Credit Suisse-spearhead the Agora dark pool low latency system, Citibank-multi-asset class trading, Bank of America-Insights for valuation, Guardian Life insurance-Build the Hadoop stack and machine learning models and migrating them to Cloud besides being an advisor to a fortune-50 bank, couple of start-ups and Pivotal-Hadoop distro.
