Raúl is an innovative, enthusiastic, and results-oriented insurance professional with over 15 years of business development, sales, strategy, and leadership roles.

Raúl currently serves as Vice-President, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Insurance Consultant at USI Insurance Services. He specializes in helping middle market and large companies manage risk by collaborating with USI’s internal teams in analyzing, designing and implementing solutions with the focused aim of protecting the business, executive teams, board of directors, employees, and stakeholders from risk exposures that arise in the course of operating their business.

Prior to USI, Raúl served as the National Director of Business Development and Membership Solutions at the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS), a leading Insurance Advisory organization in the United States with over 700 Property and Casualty insurance company members, with over $8 billion in reported premium.

In his professional journey, Raúl has worked with Fortune 500 Companies such as Allstate, Aon, and Wells Fargo; he has led new market, and sales initiatives with over $220 million of revenue combined.
Raúl earned a dual MBA degree in finance and innovative entrepreneurship from Northeastern University in Boston, MA; and a business undergraduate degree from Becker College in Worcester, MA. He has completed the Certified Blockchain Consultant designation from the Blockchain Council, obtained the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS), Cyber Risk Manager (cyRM) designations, and has the P&C and L&C license in the State of Massachusetts.

Raúl has served on several boards including the Red Cross in Central Massachusetts, ALPFA Boston, St. Mary’s Health Center, Aon LEAD, Worcester Rotary Club, Worcester Chamber of Commerce, Salisbury West Condominium Trust, amongst others. He was a contributing author of the book “Living a Wealthy Life: Stories of Gaining an Abundance in All Five Forms of Wealth”, and has written several articles about insurance and risk management

Raúl enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, reading, learning new things that would help society; he is currently exploring how blockchain technology would intertwine with insurance, and the potential opportunities that could be derived from it. He is an imperfect (striving always to be better) husband of Mayra and father of Maria Paula, lives in Worcester, MA with his wife Mayra, and their dog, Lolita Marcela.
