Head: Client and Intermediary Engagement, Sanlam Personal Finance: Distribution
René Roux is an experienced Financial Services executive with extensive experience in business strategy and planning, business management, people management, business and product development and marketing and brand strategy and planning.
She currently heads up the Client and Intermediary Engagement business at Sanlam Personal Finance; a role which is primarily charged with improving the client and intermediary engagement process and outcome at all the different touch points, resulting in a better experience, increased acquisition and retention of clients and ultimately improved sales. This also includes driving and executing the OMNI enablement strategy for Sanlam Retail.
René has a proven track record in the service industry which spans nearly 30 years. In the last 20 years the focus has specifically been in the banking and insurance industry, fulfilling various senior management roles at Old Mutual Bank, Old Mutual Agency Franchise Division, Sanlam Liquid and Sanlam Distribution.
She holds a M.Comm in Business Management as well as a B.Comm (Hons) in Strategic Management both from RAU (now known as Johannesburg University), and a B.Comm with majors in financial accounting, business economics and commercial law from Stellenbosch University.
She is married and she has two beautiful sons, aged 17 and 13.
