Head of Customer Experience: Virtual Channels, Absa
Saret Marais is the Head of Customer Experience for Virtual Channels at Absa’s Retail and Business Bank division, where she has been instrumental in driving the digital change agenda and agile ways of work. This has resulted in closer collaboration between technology, design and business as well as accelerating the implementation of business strategy across the Digital channels. She is also responsible for optimizing customer journeys, customer insights and analytics and streamlining customer communication through the Virtual Channels (including social media).
Her career spans over 15 years and includes various leadership roles in Absa’s Technology division as well as management roles at KPMG’s IT Advisory division where she was responsible for audit, information security and data privacy projects for a large number of South African banks and other financial services organizations.
Saret is passionate about business and technology alignment, implementing meaningful innovation and applying design thinking. She is also an ardent supporter of creating opportunities for youth development in technology and digital and spearheaded the Technology Young Talent program at Absa.
