VP Measurement Analytics and Evaluation, UJA Federation Greater Toronto
Viola Dessanti brings over 15 years of professional experience in philanthropy, not-for-profits and measurement and evaluation to the role. Her career includes roles in the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Croatia and Ecuador, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and UJA Federation. She is currently the VP Measurement, Analytics and Evaluation at the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.
Currently, Viola is leading the effort to transform the Federation in order to be more data-driven and outcomes oriented. This includes developing and implementing a strategy to change the way that the organizations makes grants to its partner agencies and community organizations to be more impactful, innovative and efficient. Viola is also developing and delivering a tactical plan to develop Federation’s first Business Intelligence Strategy.
At OTF, Viola was part of the leadership team in charge of researching, designing and delivering the Foundation’s new outcomes-focused investment strategy and measurement and reporting framework. She supported the design of the Foundation’s first Business intelligence strategy.
She completed a BA in European Social and Political Studies from UCL (UK) and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Toronto. Viola is a committed volunteer in her community and has served in many Boards. Viola has an extensive international background, having lived, studied and worked in 10 different countries.
