Interview with Kevin Bates, VP and Head of Enterprise Data at Fannie Mae
Kevin Bates, VP and Head Enterprise Data at financial services company Fannie Mae, talks about migrating the firm’s data to the cloud and laying the foundations for real-time data analysis.
“They [used to] to wait a full six weeks, often, to see the latest version of business data,” he recalls. “Now, we are delivering that in nearly real-time using these technologies to enable analytics.”
“Over the last year, we have been migrating towards use of the enterprise data lakes in the cloud,” he adds. “So, we are starting to build cloud-based assets and applications and new tools that are cloud-based.”
