Welcome to AssetOps: A Community by Operators, for Operators

Join a handpicked group of buy-side leaders to help set the agenda and tackle the topics that matter most
By Ana-Luiza Olanescu
The operator’s role is central to any buy-side firm’s success. Their leadership is needed for everything from data transformation and AI readiness to navigating change, regulation, and resilience.
And yet, for too long, operators have been underrepresented in industry discussions – even though it is in operations where many of the most significant challenges and opportunities are being addressed.
AssetOps was designed to fill that gap. We have designed this initiative with a simple vision: to bring together the sharpest minds in buy-side operations, data, technology, change and transformation to solve real problems collaboratively.
Not another broad industry conference. Not another vendor-driven forum. But a space built by operators, for operators – senior leaders who carry the responsibility of running firms, enabling innovation, and steering transformation.
Our mission
We believe that operators deserve more than just a transactional event where panels happen at speed and connections fade as quickly as they’re made. AssetOps is about building a trusted global community where leaders can share openly, benchmark honestly, and return to their desks with tangible insights that genuinely impact their firms.
At the core of this mission is our Founding Advisory Board – a handpicked group of buy-side leaders who advise us on the topics that matter most and set the agenda, creating purposeful conversations, an elite peer group, and a space that feels both exclusive and collaborative.
Why now?
Asset managers are facing pressures like never before. Margins are tightening, regulators are intensifying their scrutiny, and the pace of technological change is relentless. Firms must be agile, data-driven, and culturally ready for transformation. Yet in practice, digital initiatives stall, decision-making becomes fragmented, and operations teams are often left balancing strategic ambitions with legacy processes and stretched resources.
Mandy Rawlinson, an AssetOps Founding Advisor and Head of UK & EMEA at Aberdeen Investments, notes in an interview with Corinium: “We are at an inflection point where the industry is under pressure from margin compression, regulatory intensity, and technology disruption. No single firm can navigate that in isolation.” AssetOps exists to provide that collective forum.
More than events
While our flagship AssetOps events – planned in New York, London, and soon Chicago, Toronto, Hong Kong and beyond – bring the community together in person, AssetOps is not just an event series; it’s a year-round community.
We provide a place to learn from peers you trust, to continue conversations beyond a single agenda, and to contribute your perspective to a body of content that is operator-led and future-focused.
That’s where our content hub comes in.
The AssetOps content hub
This hub is the heart of AssetOps online: a space to spotlight the voices shaping the future of buy-side operations. Here, you’ll find:
- Interviews with our Founding Advisors – like Chris Taylor of CG Asset Management, who shared how boutiques are leveraging low-code tools to build compliance systems and streamline due diligence, and Archana Mohan of Navera Investment Management, who argues the biggest opportunity lies not in speed but in asking better questions about technology.
- Executive Q&As – short, sharp insights such as those from Vince Pasqualicchio of American Family Insurance, who discusses why “resilience does not mean standing still” and how true innovation comes from layering new tools on top of strong data governance.
- Opinion pieces – like Mario De Bergolis of Asset Management One International, who makes the case that the COO’s role is evolving rapidly, with operational discipline now needing to be balanced by strategic agility.
- The Operator’s Playbook – practical one-pagers distilling best practices on everything from data lineage to change management.
- Monthly Ops Pulse – a briefing on the most important trends and stories in asset management operations.
- Community voices – content submitted by our members, from “What’s keeping you up at night?” discussions to perspectives on what’s working (and what isn’t).
And of course, we’ll share behind-the-scenes content from our events – speaker insights, agenda deep-dives, and post-event recaps.
A community with purpose
What excites me most about AssetOps is that it already feels different. The people who join us don’t come simply to tick a box. They join because they believe in raising the bar for operations as a discipline, because they see the value of learning from peers who “get it,” and because they want to be part of something that feels purposeful.
And importantly – all operators are welcome. Whether through joining a panel, contributing a written perspective, or simply engaging with peers, AssetOps offers a platform where every operator can voice their thoughts, test ideas, and explore topics close to their heart.
AssetOps is about redefining what it means to belong to an industry community. Exclusive, but not exclusionary. Elite, but grounded in the reality of daily execution.
We are only at the beginning of this journey. I invite you to explore the Content Hub, share your perspective by emailing me at ana.olanescu@coriniumgroup.com, and join us in shaping the future of buy-side operations.
