Our CDAO portfolio is becoming ‘CDAIO’ as the data and AI landscape evolves

Our CDAO portfolio is becoming ‘CDAIO’ (Chief Data & AI Officer) as the data and AI landscape evolves

We’re introducing a new name for our data and AI portfolio, reflecting AI’s prominence within our agenda and its increasing effect on leadership roles.

Our CDAO events will be renamed CDAIO (Chief Data & AI Officer), rolling out gradually from October this year through 2027. This is a natural progression that brings the event brand in line with the conversations already taking place and the priorities of our audience.

“AI has been a defining focus across our events for several years. CDAIO reflects where the conversation is today and the direction data leadership continues to take.”
Chris Beales, Managing Director, APAC, Corinium

With AI continuing to impact how organisations shape strategy, governance, and business outcomes, we’re committed to creating events that embrace the interplay of data and AI and best support emerging roles.

The shifting conversation
With events world-wide, Corinium is well positioned to listen to its community and take stock of where the future of our industry is heading. We’ve seen our audience explore AI through keynotes, case studies, and roundtable discussions, as they work through the complexities of AI adoption, governance, use cases, and business impact. These conversations are not separate from data — they are directly shaping how modern enterprises operate and compete.

The evolution of leadership
This shift is also reflected in the market. Data leaders are increasingly responsible for both data and AI, with a growing focus on delivering tangible business outcomes. This expanded remit brings new opportunities, alongside challenges around scaling, governance, and responsible deployment.

“The move to CDAIO recognises that AI is redefining what it means to lead data. It expands the role into one that directly drives organisational intelligence, with greater accountability for governance, ethics, and the practical deployment of AI to deliver real outcomes.”

Xanthe Sulzberger, Head of Product and Value Enablement, Fonterra & Chair of CDAIO New Zealand 2026

These are the challenges our community is focused on solving, and the ones our events are designed to address.

Looking ahead
The CDAIO brand will begin rolling out in 2026, starting with CDAIO New Zealand, followed by a broader transition across APAC in 2027. As this next chapter takes shape, we invite you to be part of it.

Join your peers at our upcoming events to explore how data and AI are shaping the future of leadership, take part in practical discussions, and connect with senior decision-makers navigating the same challenges.
